York has partnered with the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network to bring world class initiatives in sustainable development to our communities. The SDSN works with universities and other knowledge centers to help them activate sustainable development initiatives through knowledge mobilization, problem-solving partnerships with governments, business, and civil society, and encouraging local social entrepreneurships.
As part of this partnership we’re excited to announce the launch of our new Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Student Hub. A student-driven initiative, the Hub is designed to help students of all disciplines learn about York’s SDGs and take action to help achieve them—on-campus and in our communities.
In addition to the hub we have a host of exciting events planned for our inaugural year like Ready for 2030? SDGs Seminar Series, Skills in Sustainability, and many more! All of these events are designed to fire up your interest and ideas around the goals and to provide you with a unique opportunity to learn more about the many fields of sustainability available to you personally and professionally.
Join the SDG Hub so you can network with students at York and other SDSN-member universities, learn critical skills and earn credits towards the SDG Students Program Certificate.
